Hi, I’m Kelly, or Kel to most of my friends! From an early age, I have had a love affair with food! But it wasn’t until a few years ago, that I began to enjoy the process of cooking. Food has been a huge part of my life for 29 years, but for a long time I was not eating the right things. Throughout most of my formative years (aka awkward teenage years), I was teased about how I looked. Name calling and bullying had a large impact on me, and caused me to turn to food. But during my sophomore year of college, I made a decision that would change my mind and body for life.

By incorporating exercise into my daily routine, I started to see immediate results. It wasn’t until after college though, when I moved to NYC, that I began to understand the benefits of healthy eating. I was cooking for myself, and making my own decisions! My energy level from eating better and working out became addicting. And so, my journey toward a healthier lifestyle began!

When I’m not in the kitchen whipping up a new dish, you can find me at the gym, browsing through new ideas on Pinterest, planning my next trip, taste testing new restaurants around Atlanta, and spending time with family and friends!

Warning: I LOVE queso, and all things Mexican! Hence, the healthier lifestyle I’ve adopted. I’m not one to cut things out of my diet, or jump on the latest fad diet train. I believe in balance, and to splurge every once in a while!
